Yet another one of the Stephen King novels turned into a movie. Personally I liked the book better, but they both were excellent. In this movie Bobbi Anderson (Marg Helgenberger) is walking in the woods and finds a piece of metal sticking out of the ground, curious she begins digging it up. It is really a spaceship with aliens inside, the aliens talk telepathically to Bobbi and the rest of the people in the town and get them to help dig up the spaceship. The only person they don’t talk to is Bobbi’s boyfriend Jim Gardner (Jimmy Smits) because he has a metal plate in his head, he is the only one who knows digging up the space ship is bad, in the end of the movie he destroys the aliens in a rather explosive way.
